Since the setting-up of The Triple Crown in 1992, it has been dominated by Serge Corbin of St-Boniface, Quebec, Canada. He won this prestigious trophy almost every year when he took part. In 2009 and 2010 Steve Lajoie & Andrew Triebold have won this prestigious Triple Crown.
The competitions of theTriple Crown attract thousands of spectators who see the paddlers giving between 65 and 80 strokes every minute, and this during hours. Spectators also attend the various portages which are very spectacular, and where they can see the paddlers nearby and appreciate the superhuman efforts made by these athletes.
These three tests of the Triple Crown attract many media. Reports of the Three races were transmitted in the whole world through sport's television and the internet.

The General Clinton Canoe Regatta, a 70 miles race starting in Cooperstown and ending in Bainbridge, in the State of New-York. This regatta will celebrate next year in 2012, its 50th anniversary. Held each year on Memorial Day week-end, the Celebrations will take place from may 25th to 28th. To celebrate the 50th, they are planning some exciting events including the first ever canoe parade and the inaugural class of the General Clinton Hall of Fame.
Weyerhaeuser Ausable River Canoe Marathon – A 125 miles non-stop race wich starts on saturday night à 9 p.m. in Grayling, Michigan to finish on Sunday afternoon in Oscoda. This competition gives the highest purse with50 000,00$ U.S. as prize money. It also is an endurance race where fellow competitors must face darkness, dead trees in the water, often not deeper than 8 to 10 inches. An estimated crowd of around 50 000 persons follow the paddlers all through those 15 to 19 hours of tough labor. This race is on since 1947, making it the second oldest in North America, right behind La Classique.
La Classique internationale de canots de la Mauricie inc. is the most prestigious and the oldest of all long haul canoe races. Since 1934, this competition stands from La Tuque to Trois-Rivières, in the province of Québec in Canada. Paddlers from everywhere in North America and even from Europe fight on a distance of 120 miles during the three days of the event on the magnificient Saint-Maurice River, A total purse of 40 250, 00$ is remitted to the paddlers. Many thousands of spectators attend the competition and participate to the many activities surrounding the race itself. This race is always held during the Labor Day week-end, at the beginning of September.
